LUTHIER INFORMATION
Super-Quad pickups can simply be fitted into any bass, post or pre production, and they have been specifically designed to make this process as straight forward as possible. However, if you don't have much experience with woodwork, routing/CNC machines and working on guitars or basses then we would always recommend that you have these fitted by a professional.
Below, you will find all of the resources that you will need for installation of our Super-Quad pickups; including tools, downloadable guides and video installation tutorial.

Super-Quad Routing jigs
As part of our Luthier range we can offer ready made Super-Quad router jigs.
Our 2-piece Super-Quad router jigs are made from 10mm perspex and have a centre line to make pickup alignment easier.
Rear Cavity Routing Jigs
Along with our front Super-Quad routing jigs we also offer a rear cavity jig for our 'Tri-Logic' switching system and battery for the LEDs.
The 3-piece rear cavity jig is made of 10mm thick perspex and comes complete with a 1.5mm thick, solid black backplate.
Additional backplates are also available to order from our online store.

Our patented Tri-Logic switch is used to alternate between the three Super-Quad pickup coil configurations. They come in 2 models, our N switch for the Neck position and B switch for Bridge position.
Please note that our Tri-Logic switches are included with ALL Super-Quad Pickup purchases, as standard.
Our patented wire looms are used to pair a Super-Quad pickup with its Tri-Logic Switch.

These are standard stereo jack outputs that can come in skeleton or barrel type.
Skeleton Jack Socket:
Stereo Switchcraft - The name says it all. Suppliers for all top quality guitars over the past 50 years. Comes complete with nut and washer. This stereo version has an extra lug and is generally used in instruments that have active electronics. When the jack plug is removed from the socket the 9 volt battery that is used to power the active electronics disconnects, thereby preserving battery life.

Please Note; Although our Super-Quads are purely PASSIVE the reason we use stereo jacks is to use the switching part to connect & disconnect the tricolour RGB L.E.D. indicator fitted in each pickup housing. This same Jack socket switch can also be used if a pre-amp circuit is required.
CTS guitar pot, 500k split shaft pot premium 450 series with 9% tolerance.
Guitar pot with audio (log) taper. This guitar pot is an ideal for our Super-Quads when wanting a pure passive volume and tone controls for your bass.
Not all volume and tone pots are alike. The CTS pots that we stock are the top-of-the-range 450 series and are developed using 9% +/- tolerances and built at 10% over the standard 500K rating (550K). This ensures optimum performance and guarantees that your potentiometers will always be at least the value stated. Our CTS pots are unlike many other standard pots that use industry standard 20% tolerances where, in most cases, are way under the specifications you need to ensure good tone from your pickups. We added brass components and a high quality wiper versus what comes standard on most run of the mill pots to ensure long life, quality and consistent performance. Comes complete with two nuts and washers.
Capacitors are used for the passive treble tone roll off which is a standard on instruments with no pre-amp fitted.
This is the Sprague Orange Drop .022 Microfarad tone capacitor. Audio grade Polypropylene dielectric material provides a smooth, wah type tone with no sonic impurities. The cap works well with our pickups.
